you guyss

cheer up :)

i’m telling you now that there is no such thing as having a “bad Christmas.”

as cliche as it sounds, the reason for the season is the birth of Jesus.. and you can’t argue with that because without his birth, we wouldn’t be celebrating anything. so when i think about it, having a “bad Christmas” just doesn’t make sense to me anymore. to be honest, my whole family’s currently not on good terms with one another and there are still a lot of things everyone needs to work out, but that doesn’t give me an excuse to say that my holidays are horrible. let’s face it, we all have issues. but the point here is, the Creator of the galaxies and the heavens and this earth came down sometime about two thousand years ago because He loved us so much and wanted to show us that there’s so much more to life than we have ever thought or could possibly imagine.. His birth is more than enough reason for us to celebrate! through Him we have freedom, peace, joy, hope.. (and it goes on and on, etc. thank God, this list is inexhaustible). so, our personal issues are way beside the point. we already know that Christmas is not about the presents, but it also has nothing to do with us and what we’re doing in this world. it is a reminder of love, forgiveness, compassion, mercy, and salvation all given to us through a baby named Jesus. i’m not saying that we should just stop caring about our families and loved ones.. but what i am saying is that Christmas is all about Him, so let’s focus on the reason for life.

Merry Christmas :))
